Even though we very much still consider this the middle of summer, we’re adding some new bars that will be great for autumn:
The Cherry Almond Bar blends dark cherry and toasted almond scents with a medium lather, moisturizing soap base that includes avocado oil and olive oil. It’s just right on the level of almond and has a gorgeous spiral swirl with deep-red-to-purple Red Moroccan Clay color against the neutral base. This bar is poured at a lighter trace so it has a little less scalloping at the top than some of our other bars.
The Lily of the Valley Bar has a sweet, floral scent. This is a light soap all around, enriched with shea butter for extra moisturizing performance and with no clays or other colorants added to the base. Lather is medium to medium-high. A lot of Lily of the Valley soaps are French-milled, meaning that the bar is mashed up and then reformed. Ours isn’t. It’s cold process mold-poured and cured extra-long, which gives “hard bar” durability with great texture and visual character.
The Dark Rum Bar was intended to be a seasonal Fall bar, but customers say that it reminds them of coming home from the beach, being on vacation, and even a wedding reception. In other words, plenty of things that happen all year long. Whatever memories it triggers for you, this bar has a light rum scent and a vanishing trace of campfire fragrance. Bentonite Clay gives the soap a characteristic grayish hue. Medium lather – contains no alcohol! :)
